"My current favorite is the Torneo. To me, it is the perfect handle length, head weight and shape. I use it for felling 10-12” red pines, bucking, splitting, and even backpacking relatively short distances. I’ve used it for about 3 years now, have left it outside in rain and snow, it’s been rusted over several times, survived a barn fire, and I even used it to chisel my vehicle out from a snow/ice bank where I was stuck for 36 hours. The handle/wedge is still as tight as the first day I used it. It stays in my truck as my go to, and while I use all my other Hults Bruk axes, this one has seen the most use as it’s probably the most versatile in the lineup, and also one of the cheaper models. It just feels great in my hand and holds an edge as good as my vintage American steel."
