Hi – this axe head was bought from someone in Sweden and I cleaned it up a bit, then mounted it on a sapwood piece of hickory. I am going to donate this to a local fire department but it would be interesting to know the pattern and approximate production date. Thanks

I also wanted to say this axe has an incredible heat treatment. I all used axe heads by allowing the bit to impact a piece of 3/16 mild steel from 3 feet directly above and look for edge deformities. This one left a notch in the mild steel but not a mark in the axe’s bit. Very nice.
