The HB makers mark is a cold stamp, which was used before 1988. It looks like this one was painted blue, which means it was made under the Agdor line – very popular in the 1970s. I would guess this axe was made between 1970-1988.

I need to get me some more old school double bits, this would be a cool find.

I had the chance to buy one of these at a flea market, to this day I regret not buying it! Certainly my favorite axe pattern made by HB.

If only it had a nice handle to complete it!

Plus, Paul Bunyan would’ve wanted one of these in his wood chopping arsenal.

My father had one very similar to this one when I was growing up. I so wish I had it!

Love this axe. Found one in a fire pit years ago and did my best to restore it.

Jordan, nice handle for a nice rescue. Keep swinging!

This is by far my favorite. I use a double bit all the time… usually for more than it was intended. I’ve split a hundred cords of wood with mine, lol.
