Hults Bruk Turpentine Axe – 1930s

i bought this axe head. it looks to be unused, the handle was rotten. or maybe it broke in moving or something. original paint is on it and the edge on it almost look factory. it has no misuse. and haven’t mushroomed. i would really love to know what this axe is. its a agdor. but its grean and it has the ears on it. which is a wary strange combination

this is the most unic hults bruk AGDOR axe, i would be amazingly happy to know if such axes had a spessial history. it has 2 stamps. HB and H, it has ear lugs AND its green. wich means it could have been military. and it waighs 1 kg or slightly more. and also. what handle lengt is sugested. i wanna go with a 50 cm becaus i wanna use it when i go cut trees down with chainsaw and kindeling.

Beautiful axe in amazing condition. You don’t see many with that double stamp.

The Circle H bit stamp showed up around 1958. It’s not military issue either. Those all had three crown stamps as well. Plus the Made in Sweden means it was made for export.

The cold stamp reading ‘Hults Bruk AB” was used between 1930 and 1970. This axe is a Turpentine pattern. Nice find!

Har utvecklas smideskonsten genom utbildningar, utstallningar, kulturarrangemang och guidningar av industrimiljon – en utveckling som sker i samklang med den omgivande naturen och i samverkan med de boende i Hults bruk.
