Hults Bruk – Yankee Pattern Agdor – 1950-60

Purchased on eBay, about to hang on a Liam Hoffman handle. Will definitely use this for splitting firewood as it is a beast. I appreciate any information you might have on its origin. Thanks!

The Agdor stamp with both the circle H and circle HB was used between the early 1930s and late 1960s. My guess is this one is closer to the 1960s. If you can find a weld line above the bit, it would mean the axe was made before 1950. Prior to 1950 Hults Bruk axes were made of two separate steels. The main part of the head was made of iron and high-quality edge steel was baked into the axe bit. It can be very difficult to tell if an axe was produced in this way. Great find, thanks for sharing!
