My father purchased this hatchet in Toronto, Canada in the early 1970s. I remember him chopping firewood with this on a camping trip in 1973. I have inherited this item and use it around the garden occasionally. I was just wondering if this was a specific model and when it was manufactured.
I believe this pattern is called Maine. Made in the 1970-80s, these axes had the Agdor blue painted on the head and the foot of the handle painted red. A popular hatchet.
