Hults Bruk – Hewing Axe – Pre 1900s

This ax appeared in a flea market in Norway. I should like to know about the year it is from and a little about the history of the ax. I also like what material the shaft was made of and the design of this, as I have to make this again. Looking forward to hear from you.

Hults Bruk – Unknown Felling Pattern – Pre 1988

Discovered this one in a very old barn. Hoping to find the age and whether or not it is worth restoring. One side has the circle H.B. mark. The opposite side has markings 1.5 and 3 1/2. It is a heavy old gal. Looks like the original handle as well.

Hults Bruk – Turpentine Pattern – 1958

I was given this axe from a barn in Lier, Norway. I was visiting relatives at the “old family farm” and they had this axe in a scrap pile to be thrown away. I saw covered in rust but it had a great shape so I cleaned it up and discovered the markings! I’d love to hear about the rough age of the axe.
