This was sold to me as a “Hults Brux”. It’s clearly military surplus, with green paint and a three-crown stamp on the haft. The only stamping on the head is pictured. It looks like two x’s over a y or perhaps a v over an inverted y.
I’m interested in its origin and an estimate of its age.
This axe was made at the Arvika factory in Sweden, probably sometime between 1910 and the 1960s when the factory was in operation. In the 1960s the Arvika brand name was bought by Hults Bruk. I don’t know the name of this model, but it looks more like a Scandinavian pattern than an American.
