Hults Bruk – 3.5 lb Felling Axe – Pre 1988

I’ve recently moved to the country and haven’t used an axe much. I inherited this axe from my dad and have had it in my possession in storage for a few years before needing it recently to chop some wood. I decided to do some research on the makers mark which was easily identified as a Hults Bruk. The handle is pretty wrecked and I’ve been doing some research on a replacement handle. Red paint is clearly visible on the head of the axe.

Would be nice to know more about the axe. Type of axe, age, etc. It is one of the few heirlooms I have from my dad.

Great Axe! Get that bad boy a new handle and put it to good use!

Learn how to put that handle on and that knowledge will serve you good!

That’s a great looking axe. As an arborist, I would love to have a go at felling a tree with that beauty!
