Found this girl in a box of old axes and hatchets. I couldn’t pass her up. So for $20 CAD she came home with me. Fell in love right away. The handle pops right off so I’m gonna have to repair her a bit.
Nice find! This is a Hults Bruk Agdor Hatchet. The cold stamp puts production before 1988, but guessing from the handle paint this was probably made in the 1970s. The handle looks like it’s in good shape, maybe it just needs a new wedge and ring? Unfortunately I don’t know of anyone who sells just the wedge, please check our blog post on sizing a new handle for more info: http://hultsbruk1697.se/blog/2017/01/20/how-to-replace-a-hults-bruk-axe-handle/
Thank you!
You can create a new view of axes by using any of the menus below. Filter by year produced (in decades), by the type of axe or
hatchet, or by whether or not the item has been identified.
