Hults Bruk – Hewing Pattern – Pre 1988

Please your help to provide any additional information on this axe, year of fabrication, and correct model. There is a small piece of the label on the handle on yellow and red that says Adgor.
I have a question, I hear that in this axe model the eye is straight, do you know if that is true or not? I was planning on re-handling this axe because I am left-handed.

This is a broad axe for hewing, the closest pattern it resembles is the Pittsburg pattern. More recently is was just called a broad axe. This style was discontinued sometime in the early 1980s. Also this axe has some perma-bond on the eye, my best guess is the axe was made sometime in the 1970s-1980s. I’m not sure what you mean if the eye is straight, but you should be able to flip the axe and re-handle from the other side. Hope this helps, thanks for sharing
