Hults Bruk – 1.5 kg Yankee Pattern – 1950s

In a second-hand store I bought this axe. It had a broken handle and a lot of surface rust and some pitting.
I can see that it has a H stamp with a circle around it and can read the text ‘AGDOR TS BRUKS ABY’
on the back, I can see 1,5 or 1,50. I’m not sure. Below the pole, there is definitely some green paint and in some other spots too. It appears darker in the pictures than in real life. I can see a line on both sides of the bit, was this line where the paint had stopped?
Somewhere (I forgot where I found this information) was mentioned that green paint was used for special customers, correct? What type of customers were they?

This is an older Yankee pattern. I can’t see where the stamps are located, but the circle H with Agdor Hults Bruk ABY was used between the early 1900s and 1950s. If the stamps are on the poll of the axe, then it’s early 1900s. If the stamps are on the cheek (bit) of the axe, then closer to the 50s. Green was used for specific customers. But it’s so long ago, I couldn’t say which customers. And yes the green paint would have stopped above the blade. Nice find, thanks for sharing.
