Hults Bruk Agdor Pre 1958
This axe was found in Canada for 10$ at a flea market. It looks like it is a pre-1958 make, but I am curious if the number stamping for the weight can give a more specific date of when it was made. The numbering font appears to be different from my other HB axes from the 1970s. I am also not sure what pattern this is.

That axe is in great shape! Looks similar to a Yankee pattern. This dual stamp with the HB & H was used until 1958. Best guess would be after 1910 and before 1958. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome find, especially for $10! It does look very similar to a Yankee pattern, however, in America those patterns were usually heavier. Maybe that pattern was also used in Sweden for lighter weight heads? Also, and you may know this already, but it appears to be hung upside down. If you want to fix it check out this blog post…
