Hults Bruk – Vira Axe – Pre 1930s
My dad and i bought the axe at a lopis roughly 5 years ago.
I didnt really care about axe‘s back then but when i saw it recently since i have an interest in axe‘s now i decided to restore it.
So now after possible many decades its out of retirement and being used to split fire wood.
And im very glad to add this to my growing collection of axe‘s.

A beautiful old HB axe. The HB poll stamp with the text ‘Hults Bruk ABY” was used between 1884 – 1930s. I believe the large font for the axe weight was used around 1920-1930s. Given the wide blade and the lugs (where the head meets the haft), my best guess is this is the Vira model axe. Thanks for sharing!
