I have this HB axe head that appears it could be made from 1900 to 1988. I see in the 1937 catalog it looks like the No.12 Axe mexican but I am not really sure. it has the HB Made in Sweden on one side and the 1,4 weight on the other. I am looking for a new handle.
This does resemble a Mexican or South American pattern axe. This type of axe doesn’t show up until probably the 1930s and discontinued before the 1950s. I’ll see if we can find more info, thanks for sharing.
