I picked up this axe head today and am wondering if it’s an old axe or not. Is it worth getting a new handle for it and professionally sharpened?

Looking at the stamp, this axe was made after 1988 and is a Montreal pattern. With a new handle and a file, it’ll be ready to use again. Here’s some info on re-handling: http://hultsbruk1697.se/blog/2017/01/20/how-to-replace-a-hults-bruk-axe-handle/ and some info on sharpening: http://hultsbruk1697.se/blog/2017/09/11/how-to-sharpen-an-axe/
