Hults Bruk – Swedish Army Axe – Vira Pattern – 1960-70s
Another ax of the swedish army, the steel was almost unused, only the handle was broken and was renewed.
It’s a cutting ax, not to split, but I can not say anything about age and type.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all… a Swedish Army axe made in the Vira pattern, evident by the wide blade, lugs, weld line on the poll and a triple crown stamp. I was under the assumption that all the Hults Bruk Swedish Army axes were made in a Yankee pattern, apparently not.
