Ive come by this axe from my father and ive begun started polishing and restpring it when I found your mark on it. Could you tell me what this is and how old it might be?
The poll stamp with the HB Maker’s Mark and text: ‘Hults Bruk ABY” was used between 1884 – 1930. This axe model is a traditional Scandinavian pattern, these were phased out in the early 1900s. My best guess is this is the Wermlands pattern, pre-1900s.
