Found this nice piece stuck to a tree stump in the woods! I’m not sure how old this is, but according to the mark it is between 1884-1930? Also, I found a hatchet called “Wira” in the 1890s catalog. Could it be this one? I’m planning to restore it with a nice handle.
I think you’re correct, Wira pattern made sometime between 1884 – 1930. But probably earlier than 1930s, the Wira pattern seems to disappear from the later catalogs. Nice find!
