This axe head was found in a garage where it had been sitting for at least 20 years. It has become my go-to bushcraft and camping axe since putting a new handle on it. The paint is almost entirely rubbed off but there is both red and blue paint which is odd.
This Yankee pattern hatchet was made before 1988. The blue paint was part of the Agdor line of axes. My guess is this one has been painted and re-handled a few times, it has character.
