I was given this axe by my grandfather and I don’t know where he got it from. It has likely been re-handled. Just interested in knowing more about it! What style type if axe it is and what it is used for as well as how old it is. Thanks!
The broad hatchet was used for making roof shingles but also carpentry work. Best guess is late 1950s. This axe probably has a single beveled edge. A good hatchet for turning round logs into squares 🙂
