This Turpentine pattern axe was probably made sometime between 1900s and 1930s. Prior to the 1950s Hults Bruk axe heads were made of two separate materials. On this axe the main part of the head is made of iron and high-quality edge steel is baked into the axe bit. A great piece of history. In the early 1900s Hults Bruk stamped axes using Circle HB on the poll of the axe, as opposed to the cheek. pretty rare find.
