Hults Bruk – Yankee Pattern – Pre 1988

These photos are of a hatchet which according to what i was told, dates from the mid 1950s.
That would put in in the single steel era if I am correct.
It was bought new in Australia by my grandfather for my father when he was a child, and I have inherited it.
I don’t know what pattern it is called.

The Yankee pattern was the most commonly produced axe at Hults Bruk (still is) other than the Turpentine pattern It looks like there might be some blue paint? This would indicate the axe was part of the Agdor line and made in the late 50s early 1960s. If so it is made from a single piece of steel. Thanks for sharing!
