Hults Bruk – Unknown Pattern – Unknown Date
Hello,i found this axe in the flea market today and I think that is a HB older model. It’s very rusty and I can’t read the markings, but it looks like an old type of your Akka model. Thank you and wish you a great day

Hults Bruk – Completely Unknown Pattern – Pre 1988
This axe belongs to my friend. He bought an old farm a few years back and the axe came with it. It is old and battered, but the HB mark is still visible, along with something I presume says Made in Sweden. The handle is not original. It has been painted blue at one point – could this be a factory paint job? I am not able to see any other markings.
I have offered to brush it up for him, but he declined since it sees regular use splitting wood for the fireplace and does that job quite well. I guess – if it´s not broken, don´t fix it. I could not find this in your catalogs, but it appears similar to the Bjork, although without the chamfered sides. Thanks for looking. Can you tell me anything about this axe, just by looking at the photo?

Unidentified Hults Bruk Axe
Here is my 5 dollar flea market treasure. The handle above is original, I believe. The haft on it now cost 3 times more than the hatchet! The current handle is a modified Grunfors Bruks replacement handle. The only replacement available, locally, that fit the eye. I would have just made one but, had no suitable wood thick enough. The bit was rounded over on the toe and beard and has been re-profiled. The head had some traces of blue paint on the upper half.

Unidentified Hults Bruk Agdor Axe
I recently acquire in a fleas market for a ridiculous price ($5CAD) an axe or hatchet head (no handle)that seem to be quite old from your brand. It’s all rusted and in not a such good conditions but I will restore it. I’d like to know if you first can tell me how old it can be (manufacturing in which period) and what is the best handle size for it. On the left side there are the engraving:
1-a circle with HB inside and beside another one with an H
2-just below AGDOR
3-below HULTS BRUKSAB
4-MADE IN SWEDEN
It weight 875 grams but because the wear it may have been more we clearly see bad sharpening
grooves. The cutting edge is about 8.3cm the full length is 14.5cm the thicker point as 2.8cm. If you have an email I can send you pictures of it. Any informations regarding that nice piece would be deeply appreciated because I will restore it use it for my bushcraft activities.
