Hults Bruk – 1.5 lb. Yankee Pattern – Pre 1988
I would love any information on this axe head that you can provide. I’m looking forward to using this and handing it down to my children who now know they are part Swedish. We traveled to Sweden because my wife’s ancestors are from Nora in Vastmanland. (I’m Asian American and am trying to learn more about the slöjd tradition of woodworking.)

Hults Bruk – 3lb. Agdor Yankee Pattern – Pre 1988
I was given this axe many years ago from my father in law. I was delighted to find out that this is not a cheap hardware store axe. After some research of the HB website, i fell in love with this axe. Can you tell me more about this? I think its made in the 1970’s. Can I also buy a direct fit replacement handle for it? The handle measures about 30 inches

Hults Bruk – Agdor Yankee Pattern – Pre 1988
Hi, could anyone let me know the model of this HB axe?
I think it may be an Arvika but am not sure. I’m trying to find a replacement handle for it and was having trouble finding a handle with a wide enough head for the eye – these are 25mm x 76mm!
Thanks!

Hults Bruk – Agdor Yankee Pattern – Pre 1988
I got this axe from a friend and trying to figure out what type it is . From what I read so far it appears to be a yankee pre 1988. I tried sharpening it but haven’t had a great luck getting it super sharp. Maybe it’s not meant to be razor sharp. I was also wondering what the best use for this axe . Doesn’t seem like a precision work axe. Falling axe or splitting axe . I am going to clean it up and get rid if blue paint and polish it and try my best to make a sharp tool any help is appreciated

Hults Bruk – Agdor Yankee Pattern – Pre 1970s
My father and uncle (his brother in-law) used to trap and hunt together. This was my uncle’s Hults Bruk axe he regularly used. After my uncle died my father and I found it while cleaning out his shed. I have made it functional, but have left it’s history showing. It’s very sharp, and feels great in the hand. Cleaned (light sanding), drilled a hole (to attach a new lanyard), linseed oiled and grip tape wrapped the hickory handle (pretty sure my uncle Bob replaced the original with this many years ago). Sealed the handle by filling the slight recess in the eye with JB Weld epoxy. Bought a new sheave and mink oiled it. Ready for many more years as my woodsman’s axe. Its stamped 0,8 1 3/4 on the cheek opposite the maker’s stamp. I’m fairly sure its an Agdor, ’70s perhaps?

Hults Bruk Agdor Montreal & Yankee – circa 1970
I notice many axes with cold stamp are dated pre-1988. I found these two axes on Vancouver Island, BC. Am wondering if the labels and factory handles/paint will allow you to date these two axes with more precision? Thanks, Colby
