Hults Bruk – Yankee Pattern – Pre 1988

I came across a rusted axe with what appears to be a weld and a rather beat up handle. The axe was being disposed of so I quickly snatched it up as a project to refinish and use on camping trips. A little work to expose the markings and to my surprise I have fallen upon a genuine HB axe. After looking through the various patterns I see a close representation to the Ohio and would like your assistance in verifying this. I have found both red and orange paint colours on the head which appear to be after thoughts by previous owners.  Once the pattern is confirmed I will have a better opportunity to find a suitable HB haft.
Would you also be able to direct me to a preferred retailer of genuine HB Hafts in Canada?
Thank you

This axe was probably made in the 1960-1970s, the red paint was used for certain markets and brand labels. Orange would have been after market. In Canada you can find HB handles sold under the Hultafors brand at retailers like https://bigbeartools.com/Hultafors-c20907306. Though it looks like this axe has a crack running along the eye. It might not be safe to rehandle for use.
