Hults Bruk – 3.5 lb Felling Axe – Pre 1988

I’ve recently moved to the country and haven’t used an axe much. I inherited this axe from my dad and have had it in my possession in storage for a few years before needing it recently to chop some wood. I decided to do some research on the makers mark which was easily identified as a Hults Bruk. The handle is pretty wrecked and I’ve been doing some research on a replacement handle. Red paint is clearly visible on the head of the axe.

Would be nice to know more about the axe. Type of axe, age, etc. It is one of the few heirlooms I have from my dad.

Hults Bruk 1.5 lb Rhineland Pattern – Pre 1988

This is an axe head I just received from Sweden. I just hung it on an American hickory handle and sharpened it carefully paying attention to keeping the temper intact. I had blue paint on it with an un-readable sticker on the paint. Any info on this model is appreciated.

Hults Bruk – Agdor Hatchet – Pre 1988

We were in Black Mountain, N.C. this weekend and discovered a Hults Bruk axe display. A gentleman by the name of Dennis spent 40 minutes talking about your axes and I returned the next day and bought your felling axe. Something about your logo caused me to search my garage today and indeed I had an axe from Hults Bruk I purchased for 12.00. It’s definitely an older axe. The handle has a crack in it and wondered if I could buy one from your company to replace it. I’ve attached some pictures of it. I absolutely love the one I purchased.
